Rafa's red army

To be honest, I have never been a fan of Liverpool ever since I started to watch the Premier League. Used to be the fan of MU (now hate them so much!), used to be the fan of Spurs and now I am a supporter of the Gunners. But recently, an interesting revolution had took place in the red side of Merseyside. Yup. The Benitez revolution.

Fans of EPL is not new to situation when a new coach came and started to bring in new players. When Arsene Wenger took charge at Arsenal, the very first player that he bought was Patrick Vieira, who's now one of the best defensive midfielder in the world. Benitez is doing exactly what Wenger has done, trying to reshuffle and rebuilding the Anfield team. Although a lot of new faces (mostly Spaniard) will be seen around Anfield, still, some of the original members will always be there. The talismanic captain, Steven Gerrard is an essential member of the team. The rest of the original players are Milan Baros, John Arne Riise, Sami Hyypia, Jamie Carragher and Chris Kirkland.

Those who later came and try to grab the spotlight would be Fernando Morientes, Djibril Cisse, Luis Garcia, Xabi Alonso, Josemi and Pallegrino (all Spaniard except Cisse). Good? Bad? I don't know. Some said that this situation is not healthy for English players. Take goalkeeper for example. For the past 15 years, almost all the EPL clubs prefers to bring foreign GK. As for the result, England is in short supply of good English GK. Currently, the best is Paul Robinson (Spurs), and then you have Chris Kirkland (Liverpool) and then, none.

Some said that this need to be changed. As far as I'm concerned, that's their problem. I'm just a foreign fan of EPL and will keep supporting whoever the manager brings in, as long as it keeps the club topping the table!
